Japan introduces sedate "Second Life"

Japan's answer to the hugely successful MMORPG "Second Life" is a cleaner, safer, child friendly, pornography-free, orderly manifestation they call "Meet Me." The game is set to bank on the many cultural differences between the two economic powers and will compete directly with "Second Life" as a virtual community.
The "Meet Me" community can expect avatars that are rounder and cuter; think Japanese and their Hello Kitty / Pokemon culture and you will know what we're talking about. The sun rises and sets on Tokyo real time and all avatars must ride trains or other modes of transportation to get around the city streets where buildings are exact replicas of Tokyo; "Second Life," on the other hand, allows players to jump from one area to the next at any desired time.
Why "Meet Me"? Well, according to the Japanese, "Second Life" just doesn't cut it. And an expected 1 million users in its first year promises a virtual community that is so different from the rest; kind of like the Japanese in real life.
