SEO Philippines is founded by Marc Hil Macalua (www.macalua.com), the group is dedicated to the development of the SEM, SEO and Internet marketing industries in the Philippines.

We would just like to take this opportunity to remember someone who has been a big part of the PODD family. She and her work has inspired us all. Although she is no longer with us her legacy will live on in the lives she has touched.

I spy with my SEO eyes… Jollibee using blackhat SEO techniques? Oh my, oh my. I say this would be unfortunate if it weren’t so god darn funny, not to mention ironic. Not only does the website description look a wee bit fishy due to words being repeated, the site also used hidden text and doorway pages.

The funny [and ironic] bit would be that of all the competitive keywords they would have chosen the keyword they used in the hidden text is "jollibee food corporation" a keyphrase that Jollibee food corporation has about 99.9% chance of ranking highly without the use of questionable techniques. Might I suggest taking a trip to Google's SEO Guidelines before they end up like BMW.de and Ricoh.de?

Microsoft has agreed after some coercion to let users and computer makers choose the default search engine for the upcoming Windows Vista OS after complaints raised by its rival Google to regulators.

The search engine giant had filed complaints earlier this year to both the US Justice Department and the European Commission about Microsoft making Windows Live Search the default search box in the Internet Explorer 7 browser.
