Worm Attacks Yahoo Email

According to PC World, a mass-mail worm is making the rounds and exploiting a vulnerability in Yahoo's Web-based e-mail.

The worm, JS.Yamanner@m, is different from other worms in that a user merely has to open the e-mail to activate it. In the past, mass-mail worms have usually been contained in an attachment with an e-mail note encouraging a user to open it.

When activated, the worms then sends itself to other users in the victim's address book who also use Yahoo e-mail with the suffixes of @yahoo.com or @yahoogroups.com.

World Cup Gets a Nil for Design

I was watching the game between the US and Italy the other day and after consoling myself with a very disappointing draw (sorry I expected a very Argentina-like domination of the game from Italy). A friend pointed out to me that he didn’t like the World Cup logo. This got me thinking…Hmmm it does look slightly amateurish. Then I stumbled on this article and it seems I’m not the only one who thinks so.

Erik Spiekermann, one of Germany's most respected designers, has been openly critical of the design concept for the 2006 World Cup, from the mascot to the logo.
Why don't you think the whole concept works, especially regarding the logo? First, there are too many messages. The original brief was: we've got to fit Germany in there, then 2006, then FIFA, plus we've got to have some happy people in there, we need green for the lawn, we've got the German national colors. So there's green and black and red and yellow and happy faces and FIFA, just way too many messages. You can look at this and count the elements and it just flies in the face of effective communication.

Strange Occurrences at Ebay

There are some strange stuff on ebay. I even tried to sell my soul once but unfortunately did get any bids. Hmmmm wondered why that was… Anyway I found something to add to my strange ebay collection. Top-quality silliness.

You know how it is: you've got a 30-inch cock but your wife's box is only six inches. The only intelligent solution is to offer the box for sale on eBay, as this Wisconsin vendor attempted to do:

Naturally, Ebay pulled out the auction. We reckon probably due to this:
